Justice is what love looks like in public. You can’t be a rebel without a cause (no matter what pop culture tells us). I embrace the term in the same way that I embrace my fashion: with an unwillingness to compromise.

Being a rebel isn’t about going against what’s trending indiscriminately. It’s all about picking and choosing what matters to you, and unapologetically making those things your priorities. I’m passionate about being able to wear what I want, when I want to, and the way I want to. Is that an old leather jacket or is a handbag waiting to be carefully crafted? Are those flannel pyjamas or an adorable mini skirt in the making?

Oh, women of my body type shouldn’t wear anything but “slimming” black? I think not. I wear bright yellow bodycon dresses and firetruck red lipstick. And I shine. And my shapewear has a lot to do with that. Nothing looks good if you’re pulling fabric and tugging it down self-consciously all day. I don’t worry about that in my Scarlette Shapewear.
